GW Bush Rocks! (And Raps A Little Too...)

Oh my god. My ribs are killing me, my cheeks are cramped and in agony from laughing...check out ThePartyParty.com, especially "Dick Is A Killer", or "Imagine". You could probably forgo the first tune, "Let's Get Fucked Up", but otherwise these are the best Bush remixes I've ever heard, with some real effort put into the time & pitch editing. (Their server seems to be getting hit a little hard, so be patient if you get the occasional timeout.)

We Repeat: Americans Still A Bit Jumpy After 9/11

Hey America. Relax. Look, but don't be too obvious. There's a shadow following you.

I'd say when they're shutting down schools over thirty inch burritos, things are out of hand. Personally I'd be much more afraid of Bill O'Reilly's falafel than Michael Morrissey's burrito.

Americans Still A Bit Jumpy After 9/11

The RIAA and the AMA have been telling us all along that mp3's and homeopathy were dangerous. Why didn't we listen ???

Hurricanes, Corruption, Rape, Nuclear Options, and Tom's DeLaying

And it's only Tuesday...

Seems the Bush/GOP syndicate isn't the ONLY corrupt government-related organization running amok in Florida. Apparently 30 of 133 inspectors or managers contracted by FEMA for the Hurricane Frances cleanup had criminal records, including one charged in Mississippi with the attempted rape of a Hurricane Ivan victim. Check out the link if only to see the mugshots in the sidebar.

Elswehere: Tom's still DeLaying, as politicians focus on one Nuclear Option, while ignoring another.

At least we're winning the PRETEND war on terror. You can even watch a pretend news cast (85MB, Bittorrent) about it all. According to the Department of Homeland Security web site, "an internal Virtual News Network (VNN) and news website will provide real-time reporting of the story like an actual TV network would".

Why didn't they have this kind of thing when I was a kid?

Piggly Porkly Wiggly

Ever notice you never see Porky Pig and Piggly Wiggly in the same place at the same time? If they're not the same pig, why has Warner never sued? Strange.

In other piggly wiggly news:

Learn more about your personality by drawing a pig. According to my drawing, I'm a realist; I'm direct, enjoy playing devil's advocate and neither fear nor avoid discussions; I'm analytical, cautious, and distrustful; I'm secure, stubborn, and stick to my ideals; I'm an OK listener; I have a great sex life.Pretty accurate except for that last sentence...

Oil Prices Getting You Down? Go Price Some Bottled Water...

How appropriate for Earth Day. While President Bush touts his Clear Skies , people who actually know what they're talking about suggest global warming may actually exist, and we may in fact be running out of oil. And not just in the short term, which the president actually seems to care about.

Since driving a Prius marks you as a weepy treehugger, why doesn't someone take a look at the benefits of mass transit once in awhile?

Cold Dead Hands? Puh. Step Aside, Mr. Heston....

As if the NRA wasn't psycho enough with Chuck Heston at the helm, it seems Ted Nugent is bringing a little "Wango Zee Tango" to the fray. An actual quote:

"...I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot 'em..."

Personally, I'd avoid Jackson Michigan unless you're wearing an orange flack jacket.

Macrobe? Adobamedia? Flashrobat?

Adobe acquires Macromedia? Excellent! Get Intel on the line! Now we'll need some new terabyte processors to render those pdf's that have Flash embedded in them!

Reminds me of another merger a few years back:
When I still waited tables, I once waited on a British couple who were having dinner with a German gentleman. Throughout the dinner the German fellow - who was in town on business with the recently merged Daimler/Chrysler - kept saying things about "Daimler this" and "Daimler that". Finally the British woman said: "I'm sorry, isn't the new company called 'Daimler Chrysler'?" to which the German fellow replied: "I'm afraid the 'Chrysler' is silent".

Farewell Dreamweaver. We enjoyed it while it lasted...

© All Writes Reversed

For those of you who can't read, but like to buy books anyway, check out: VidLit. After you've watched the entertaining web clip, you probably won't need to actually READ it. Better than Cliff Notes!

For those of you who like sharing music with your friends, check out: a lawyer. Looks like the RIAA is at it again, suing customers to protect their profits. Check out this cutting-edge insight from Cary Sherman, the only person pucker-faced enough to take the job of running the RIAA :

"I think digital distribution of music is just beginning, and it's going to get a whole lot larger than it is right now."

Wow. And someday these, how you say, cell phones will be quite popular too...

On the Copyfight front, I've been working on my own counterculturejamming. I don't even know what these graphics mean anymore, but I'm going to keep at it anyway.

Grammar 101: "I am not Rick James' Bitch"

Well, I guess war CAN be funny once in awhile. Is it just me, or does this Liberian soldier bear a striking resemblence to Rick James? I can't decide if it's the dress he's wearing, or the stoned expression...

A quick punctuation primer: although he might be Rick James, bitch, he's not Rick James' bitch....

I Just Robbed A Grocery Store...

...now I'm goin' to Disneyland. Or maybe not, after looking at the faces of these people who are already there. I think someone took the magic out of their kingdom...

Speaking of going to Disneyland™©®, anybody remember how the band Dada had to call their song "Diz Knee Land" on the album Puzzle because Disney threatened to sue them? If you're old enough to remember this song, I hope it burns through your brain all day...it seems to be seared into some drug-damaged neural pathways in mine, and WILL NOT STOP.

Just Put It On My Tab...

If you're a working stiff like most of us, you probably already knew that an hour of your time as a wage slave is worth less than it was in the past. Since the government operates at a deficit most of the time (they've gone from a $5.6 trillion surplus to a $7.8 trillion deficit in four years) why can't we, as citizens, do the same? Just tell everyone that whatever you owe them is in a ten-year financial recovery plan you're working on. We might need options like this, with a growing trade deficit and some possible competition from overseas....

By the way. Your legal tender's no good here anymore.

Used to be you had to work for NASA to make faces like these...

Yup. There's room on the web for everybody, isn't there.

Ogled By Google - G-Mail Replaces G-Men

Google, you're getting freaky, between the GMail privacy issues and the satellite maps. VERRRRY "Enemy of the State..."

They even have decided who the public's greatest enemy is. Try entering "public enemy number one" and clicking the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.

As well as providing search results that suggest it's well on it's way to being the next AltaVista, Google isn't making a lot of friends either....check out this piece about Google's CIA links

Eating Chinese

Host: I'm sorry, we don't serve Chinese people here.
Chinese Customer: It's okay, I don't eat 'em....

This Chinese restaurant menu needs some refinement (I think it's real, it's from this site).

It's a Wing-Wing situation:
I would've thought that no performer alive could top the Numa Numa Guy (Flash), but Wing sure gives him a run for his money. I missed the South Park episode featuring her, but thanks to the Internets, I can enjoy her genius via mp3 previews like "Dancing Queen" (228KB mp3). There's a South Park torrent here.

Since I'm doing such a fabulous job of neglecting the comic here at Echopraxia , when was the last time you Got Your War On?

Happy Sunday

April Fools Awards

Top-Ranking Fool: George Bush for selecting John Bolton as ambassador to the U.N.

First Runner Up: George Bush (ya know, fool me once...), for selecting Paul Wolfowitz to be the World Bank chief.

Tom DeLay: Craftiest all-around fool and hypocrite .

Kofi Annan: Special Award for rolling over and taking it to get the heat off his own lack of integrity.

Ooooh. I sound cynical today.

My April Fool prank: replacing files other sites have hotlinked to at echopraxia with different files.

On these sites, they linked to a Robert Blake image, but now have our comic:

BelowTopSecret.com

SlamOmaha.com

ga-Forum.com

My favorite is at FreeRepublic.com:

Scroll waaaaay down. The guy linked to an image of Ann Coulter cause he likes her, and now has an anti-Bush comic.

I'm going to go get a life now....
