07/28/2005:"Mommy, What's a "Turd Blossom"?"

I agree with Garry Trudeau's assertion that the president's use of "Turd Blossom" as a term of endearment for Karl Rove is illuminating. Wouldn't "Diamond in the Rough" suffice? It's interesting, in any case, that a comic strip about the topic gets more coverage than the possibly treasonous acts of a key White House figure. Anybody remember Iran-Contra, in which 14 persons were charged with criminal offenses? If Rove does go down for this stuff, he should be happy. Someday he'll have his own show on Fox, just like some other White House felons .
