Dirty, dirty tricks. Wonder how long before this story goes national. By the way, you guys, I'm in full agreement with the posts below. Clark/Edwards, and I'll be a happy citizen again.... |

We know we can count on Edwards pulling the southern vote. Er, maybe not Florida or Texas. Well....maybe Florida. Bush is after the big money and the baby boomers. Everyone else is screwed. Discount cards for drugs? He spoke only of percentages saved. Do they include generics?Bush is not leaning on the FDA to allow the import of cheaper drugs from Canada. I'm thinking he cares more about Pfizer than my Grandma.Sounds like Social Security is gone too.The claps about the expiring Patriot Act was a laugh riot until the sight of Edward Kennedy made me feel like I was standing in iceweater, or perhaps on the backseat of a bus traveling mountainous roads after stuffing myself full of cotton candy, Pepsi, and chocolate bars.Did anyone catch Cheney mumbling about Ken Starr and the possibility that secret servicemen may possibly be called to testify? Pacemaker or politics, something is going to give.Bush screwed up tonight. He went after the people that listen to him but only 'furher' divided this country. I commend him on one thing and that is we will have the greatest voter turnout ever. Apathy to activism.I got my first dose of Edwards on Hardball about 2 months ago and I was sold.I admit it may be this simple. He is used to persuading a jury. So be it voters.Edwards is the turtle in this race. |

I watched with the fascination, the coverage in Iowa Monday night. Mark my words, it might not be this time, but John Edwards will be President some day. He is fantastic, genuine and a really good man. Howard Dean proved that he is absolutely f*cking unelectable on every level. I'm sorry. I like him, and I like what he says, but I do not see it. Not ever! If I still did drugs, I could see smoking a joint with the guy, but not handing him the country. Kerry was tired and ill, but proved the man of the evening and worthy of the win. Kerry & Clark, Clark & Edwards, Clark & Kucinich? I believe Clark will win, but they all looked pretty great. Now, on the other hand, who is this absolute f*ck-wit running the country now? Oh yeah, that's George W. Bush, the dimmest bulb in the history of dim bulbs. One question regarding this supreme retard's State of the Union address, "Is this asshat living in the same America we are?" Oh, right, my bad! He is not! Him and his "circle of richies" are filthy rich! Not one of them has a clue about what it's like to struggle to pay bills or pay off a horrible hospital bill because you can't afford health insurance. Bush's speech was like a fairy tale for rich idiots. The best thing I've heard in the last two days was from Edwards who spoke of truly leveling the division between rich and poor. He actually spoke of the people in poverty in America! People, whether you like Bush, (and I don't blame you for your misguided views or your hand in the special interest pot,) America needs a change. Bush will get us nuked by North Korea with his idiot cowboy talk, and he has officially lost the votes of the gays, the minorities and the breathing. This man is as compassionate as I am Right-Wing. Here is my official prediction for the November election, Bush loses! I'm not kidding. He's going to lose! Seriously, it's a fact! So, people stop saying Bush is going to be re-elected and there is nothing we can do about it. (OK, I've Blogged for the day I missed. See you tomorrow!) |

I've never been a huge fan of Ted Kennedy, but I caught most of this speech (full transcript) on C-Span today, and was impressed with his thorough skewering of the current administration's deceipt regarding the Iraq invasion. Worth reading, if you missed the speech. |

Howard Dean's got his undies in a wad, but Paul O'Neill's dominating the press cycle... Doesn't O'Neill know what evil leaders do to their opponents? I wish I could just go to Mars. |

Yeah Terry, that O'Neill stuff is making a splash in the news. I especially like his assertion that Bush at cabinet meetings is like "a blind man in a room full of deaf people." Which is one of the many reasons we're supporting Wes Clark here at echopraxia.org... |

The RIAA claims in recent press that their lawsuits aimed at downloaders have scared them away from downloading. Personally, I think it just scared them away from answering honestly: "Pew researcher Mary Madden concedes that asking people if
they engage in illegal activity doesn't always produce truthful responses.
'But we've asked the question before, and in the past, there was no
impact. Now there is,' she says." Or as stated on the Pew Internet Web Site: "Furthermore, in the Pew Internet Project survey, the percentage of Internet users who say (emphasis mine- Ian) they share files such as music, video, picture files or computer games with others online dropped from 28% in a June 2003 survey to 20% in the November-December survey." Those industry execs really should've done less cocaine in the seventies. They might realize it's the 21st century and figure out how people make money these days. |

So echopraxia.org has picked a candidate. Feels strange to be backing someone ex-military, when we're all so anti-war, but I think we all agree Dean doesn't stand a real chance of beating BushBaby. Many of the Clark campaign sites now point to clark04.com . The official campaign blog is at campaign.forclark.com . More soon, just thought I'd get things rolling. |
