The Cooler

OK, if you are reading this review and haven't yet seen the Cooler, don't even bother finishing the review. Just go rent or buy this freakin' excellent drama that will punch you in the gut with its mix of the fantastic and the surreal. William H. Macy plays the role of his career and Hollywood should be kissing Baldwin's ass for even agreeing to be in any movie because he is better than most of the movies he acts in. Macy plays a guy who makes people lose just by standing next to them. Baldwin is the casino owner who uses whatever devices he can to get Macy to remain employed by him. Love happens to loser Macy, and pandemonium occurs. This movie is so good it hurts.
